POODLE
A New Internet Vulnerability
No, this one doesn't bark, but it might bite you. It has to do with the security of your data when doing on-line purchases (or other financial transactions). A commonly used protocol called SSLv3 has been found to have a vulnerability that may compromise the security of your internet connection to your bank or for web shopping.
To avoid this at tapr.org, we will be making some changes over the next week or so. One of those will be to require TLS for security during a shopping cart transaction. TLS is an improvement over SSLv3. It is suggested that you as a user configure your browser to use only TLS. In some cases this only requires un-checking SSLv3 as a security protocol.
For more technical information see: POODLE Technical
You may test your browser compatibility with TLS on www.tapr.org. If you get the order cart page, then you are compatible, if you get an error message (other than empty cart), then you need to configure your browser for TLS (or upgrade if it doesn't support TLS)
